Lynn's Story
Here's my life since high school in a nutshell...
Since the age of 7, my aspiration was to become a teacher. One of my own teachers who inspired me was Mr. Ed Cornett (anyone remember him?) My mother thought that my becoming a teacher was a wonderful idea. As it turns out, she was right!
After graduation I went on to college and received my bachelor's degree in education. The same year I graduated college, I also married my "high school sweetheart" Bill. We celebrated our 37th anniversary on May 28th. During our first 15 years of marriage, our time was spent devoted to our professions (mine in teaching and Bill's in business), traveling, and relaxing. I also became a gradua...Expand for more
te student and received my master's degree in education. Then our first child was born. Ashley is now 22 years old and recent college graduate - magna cum laude. Her sister, Bridget, recently celebrated her 17th birthday. For the past eleven years she has been an avid soccer and basketball player..
Both girls are the lights of our lives. They keep me young and extremely busy!
I am now in my 37th year of teaching (history/geography/civics) and am planning to retire in the next year or two. I will then go back to traveling and relaxing once again!
